The Political Animal is a monthly reading group organised by Olga Koroleva which will look at texts and discussion around the topic of animal as a political and social 'other'.
In this first session they will be discussing Sexual Difference and the Love of the Wolf by Judith Still published in The Animal Question in Deconstruction (2013) and Love of the Wolf by Helene Cixous published in Stigmata (1994).
A copy of The Animal Question in Deconstruction is available in The Showroom library (open to public during exhibition hours), and Stigmata can be downloaded here.
While for the first couple of sessions the reading will be set, the aim is for the group to operate in a democratic way where participants will suggest and set text for further sessions. With that in mind, you are welcome to join for as few or as many sessions as you can / wish.
