2014–2016
Rana Hamadeh's major new commission represents the latest chapter in Hamadeh's long-term project Alien Encounters, and revisits the story of the infamous Egyptian serial killers Raya and Sakina, within the wider geo-political context of the contemporary Arab world.
This will be Hamadeh's first solo exhibition in the UK and is presented at The Showroom in January 2016.
This project is co-commissioned with Nottingham Contemporary and The Institute of Modern Art, Brisbane, in collaboration with Flat Time House, London and Primary, Nottingham.
