Tom Humphreys lives and works in London. His work is often discussed as painting but retains a sculptural sensibility. Conventional supports such as paper and canvas, and more unusual materials such as ceramic tiles and dinner plates, are collaged, painted, printed or drawn upon and assembled into improvised frames. He uses both industrial materials and emulsion paint, pigment, permanent marker and charcoal. His works may also employ photography. Recent solo exhibitions of his work have been held at High Art, Paris, 2018; Rob Tufnell, Cologne and at Forde, Geneva 2017 . His work has been included in recent group exhibitions including Love among the artists, Kunstmuseum Luzern, 2017; 2021, Sydney, 2017 and Pinceau & Canapé, Une, une, une, Perpigan, France 2017.
